You see, it's like the Pretenders [ca. Brass in pocket] but Pissed off. Cantona is delicately abrasive and just charming enough to be dangerous.
Perfect darling sparkled pop that moves and sways along the roads that wind past jangle and swirl. hitting american and british points with tight-sighted dynamics, the shifting moods move... the vocals, from a slow Patti Smith seductiveness to a more Debbie Harry like charm, play over sharp Television touched riffs that link both R.E.M and the B-52's to Nikki Sudden, maybe the Bangles, and perhaps Sleeper (but now perhaps i'm just pushing it a little...). These guitars cut and croon...
I listened to "Don't Start That Again" [rough mix] several times. Drum tracks sound fine to me, but perhaps less "full" in percussive counterpoint to the Cantona remix of energetic guitar licks and dj danger nun's distinctively lyrical sound when compared to some of the group's older pieces with similar tempo and assumed intent [End of a Trend/Skirt Chaser]. Maybe the tracks in their latest manifestation uploaded at Fuzz were re-worked so much [see...
